Funded Places

15 Hours

We are eligible to receive government funding, so children can have 15 Hours free education and care each week, starting the term after their third birthday. If you would like further details how this scheme could be of benefit to you, please contact us directly.

30 Hours

We are approved as a provider for the 30 hours funded places for eligible families.

We operate our Nursery & Pre-School across 52 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays. The council agree to pay for 30 hours across term time only, therefore to ensure the benefit is spread evenly across the year, we allocated what is called a ‘stretch’ scheme of 22 hours care a week.

The fees we advertise and invoice to parents include all meals. However the council have confirmed that they will only cover fees for the childcare, and will not pay for any food or additional services whilst your child is with us.

We have considered what this means to our business and the families we support. We feel that parents may not have budgeted based on an anticipation that the council will fund both childcare and food. We are therefore prepared to give all meals for hours included in the funded spaces, at no cost until 31st December 2017.

From January 2018, there will be two options:

  1. Send your child to Pre-School and Nursery with suitable pre-packed meals (see appropriate meal guidelines); or
  2. Pay for your child to receive our Highfield House Nursery & Pre-School meals.

We will also supply complimentary snacks twice a day regardless of your choice.

Meals will be charged as follows:

Breakfast: £1.00

Lunch: £4.00

Tea: £3.00

Total per day: £8.00

Please note that any non-funded hours, already includes the cost of all meals and these will continue to be provided by us at no extra cost
